King Lear wants to find out, which of his three daughters loves him most. While his elder two daughters Goneril and Reagan have pretended that they love him, the youngest daughter Cordelia does not know how to express her true feelings.

Cordelia: Good my lord, [A] have begot me, bred me, lov'd me; I Return those duties back as are right fit, Obey [B], love [C], and most honour [D]. Why have my sisters husbands, if they say They love [E] all?
